TORONTO – A star-studded field of curling celebrities has been confirmed for the third annual Capital One Celebrity Bonspiel in support of SickKids Foundation, taking place June 1-2, 2012 at the Toronto Cricket Skating and Curling Club.

This unique curling tournament (“bonspiel”) offers participants the chance to play alongside Olympic and world champion competitors. In just two years, the Capital One Celebrity Bonspiel has welcomed 54 superstar curling athletes from around the world, in addition to 200 recreational participants and numerous corporate partners. Superstar curlers in Toronto June 3-4

Toronto, ON – Capital One, in association with the local organizing committee, has announced that 2010 world men’s curling champion Kevin Koe of Edmonton is the last of 30 superstars to confirm their participation in the Capital One Celebrity Bonspiel.

The second annual event is a unique curling tournament which offers single-entry participants the chance to curl – for fun – alongside Olympic and world champion competitors. The bonspiel takes place June 3-4 at the Toronto Cricket Skating and Curling Club, and any level of curling expertise (or lack of) is welcome. Read more

Olympic and world champions coming to Toronto

No less than 30 of the world’s top curling athletes are confirmed to participate in the second annual Capital One Celebrity Bonspiel, a unique curling tournament which offers single-entry participants the chance to curl for fun alongside Olympic and world champion competitors.

Capital One, in association with the local organizing committee, has announced that 2010 Olympic curling champion John Morris (Edmonton, Alta.) and 2006 Olympic champion Brad Gushue (St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador) will appear at the Toronto Cricket Skating and Curling Club on June 3 and 4, along with Scotland’s Eve Muirhead, the world’s only four-time world junior champion, and Cissi Ostlund and Sara Carlsson, the reigning world women’s champions from Sweden’s Team Anette Norberg.
